In 1996, Ralph Kimball published The Datawarehousing Toolkit, establishing the standard by which every data warehousing effort would be judged.

In 2010, two other people modernized Kimball’s practices in the Agile Data Warehouse Design book.

Now, in 2024, it’s time to reexamine data warehousing.

Both works emphasize runtime considerations and minimizing the work
